No game no life

No game no life
7/10
Game/Psychological/Romance/Comedy
12 episodes

This anime always has ways of showing that the main characters are smarter than you.  The characters are intelligent in every aspect of gaming. The art is very good, although the lighting and colors had stopped me from watching at some time periods. The story seemed slightly rushed at some points, though, and I felt that the end of the season seemed unfinished. There is only a sub, but it is well done.

Sora and Shiro are gaming masters. They are first in everything, and never use cheats. They always leave the name space blank. One day, an unknown user hacks into their system to challenge them. They beat the challenge, which was beating many games of chess at the same time. The person asks them if they want to go to a better world, and they said yes. Anyone can watch this anime, and I suggest that everyone does.

Ouran High School Host Club

Ouran High School Host Club
8/10
Romance/Comedy/Reverse Harem
26 episodes

This was the third anime I ever watched. The character development isn't the best, but this is good for when you're having a good day and you want a happy anime to end your day with.

Haruhi Fujioka is an honors student who is looking for a place to study. She finds music room 3C instead. There she meets the host club. There are six boys there. She thinks it's weird to have such a club in school. Haruhi accidentally breaks an expensive vase, and the host club makes her work as a host to pay it off.

This anime is hilarious. It's one of the best slice of life anime I have seen. Most people think that you're supposed to dislike the main character, Tomoko, but I don't think so. She is hilarious in almost every way, I think. After a while, I started feeling bad for her. I recommend you watch the subtitled version, because Tomoko's voice in the dub is pretty annoying, no offense to the person who voiced her.

Tomoko is a student starting high school, thinking that it will be just like all the anime she had seen. Of course, it wasn't, and she had a lot of trouble finding any friends, or talking to anyone. When she gets home, Tomoko always plays video games all night. While in school, she gets into a lot of unfortunate situations. I suggest this anime for people 12 or older.

Special A

This is my second favorite romance anime. I like it because it gives depth to each character and when they are doing that, it keeps the vibe of the main story. The dub is only available on YouTube. I think it's weird that it isn't on any anime apps, but I just went with it. If anyone watches it on YouTube, subscribe to that person if you liked the anime.

There is a girl named Hikari, who has trained all her life to be strong. Then, there is one day when a boy, Kei Takashima, beats her. He always calls her second place, and it annoys her a lot. Hikari wishes that she could beat Kei, so she keeps training to beat him. This is a light, hilarious anime that will get you to like it on the first episode.

Bokura Ga Ita

Bokura Ga Ita
6/10
Romance/Shoujo/Drama/Slice of Life
26 episodes

This is a really good anime to watch when it's raining. It made me cry more than once. Tje English meaning of "Bokura Ga Ita" is "We Were There." The sub is really good, and there is no dub. I'm impressed easily by subtitles and dubbed versions really easily, as you can tell.

There is a girl, Nanami Takahashi, who likes Motoharu Yano, or at least thinks she does. When she asks her classmate, Yuri Yamamoto, about Yano, Yamamoto said that she herself doesn't like him, but Takahashi doesn't know why. She has to keep chasing Yano to get him to get to know her, and to find out why Yamamoto doesn't like him. I suggest this anime for people 12 or older.

Pandora Hearts

Pandora Hearts
8/10
Action/Adventure/Romance/Supernatural/Mystery
25 episodes

This anime is on YouTube. It is a great investment in time. It is only subbed for now, but the voice actors did a good job. I liked how you learned about each character as the story progressed. The animation and action scenes were really good.

There is a boy who is the heir to his family, and it is the day, when he turns 14, to take the leadership. There is a place, in legend, that monsters exist in. However, there is another legend that states that when the huge clock stops at a new heir's crowning, he will be chosen.I recommend this anime to any action or adventure loving otaku.

Death Note

This is another anime that goes in the file in my head labeled favorites. This story has an amazing story, with a lot of plot twists that keep me wondering. I didn't even think about ever giving up on this anime, because it was longer than the typical anime that I like to watch. The dub is one of the best, and each voice actor portrays their own character very well.

One day, while Light Yagami was in school, he saw a book on the ground. It looked suspicious, but he picked it up anyway. When he turned around, there was shinigami. The shinigami told him how to use the Death Note. Light already had a God complex and hatedvthe world. He was also very smart, academically and psychologically.

Vampire Knight

Vampire Knight
9/10
Shoujo/Romance/Vampire/Supernatural/Mystery
13 episodes

If there's one thing I can say about this anime, I would say that it was serious. Not psychological, but really serious, and kind of depressing in a romantic way. This is the twilight of anime. Also, I suggest the sub over the dub, because the main character's voice annoys me. It's kind of whiny, if you know what I mean.

The story starts off in Cross Academy. This academy holds both the Day Class, and the Night Class. The Day Class has regular students, who don't know why there is a class that teaches at night. Yuuki is the main character, and holds the peace with her "brother" Zero Kiryu.

Kaname is in charge of keeping the vampires in check. There are many plots and life-or-death-or-vampire scenes, and I thought it gave this anime a great edge with a lot of tension.

Karin-Chibi Unvampire

Karin-Chibi Unvampire
8/10
Vampire/Romance/Parody
24 episodes

I thought that this anime was really cute, though I wish the creators had made a few more episodes. The dub is really good, so I suggest you watch that. You can watch this on YouTube, there is a playlist with all of the episodes. This is one of the first anime I have ever watched, since I only had access to YouTube.
The story starts off with a girl name Karin, who is an unvampire, hence the title. An unvampire is a vampire who expels blood instead of drinking it. She has to, of course, bite the person in the neck to expel the blood. This affects the person in a strange way. They become excessively happy for a few days, then it wears off. A new boy comes to class one day, and whenever Karin comes near him, she feels the need to expel her blood. When Karin can't get rid of her problem fast enough, she gets a huge nosebleed. Basically, she's a vampire who mass-produces blood. I suggest anyone who likes cute vampire anime would like this.

Kami-sama Kiss

Kami-sama Kiss
9/10
Romance/Supernatural/Demon/Comedy
13 episodes

This is my favorite anime. The reasoning behind this is that there is great art, and a good plot. The one thing that disappointed me about the anime is that the author let the people watching know that something essential to the plot was in fact real, then didn't expand on it. However, I'm getting my hopes up that this will happen in the 2nd season. Also, the name of this anime in Japanese is Kami-sama Hajimemashita, which means, God, how are you? The producers changed it in English because the name sounded better.

The story is about a girl named Nanami. Her father runs away from debt, and she has to leave her home because of it. She meets a man on the streets in some kind of trouble, and helps him. He kisses her on the forehead and disappears. Before he goes, he says that Nanami can live in his shrine, named the Mikage shrine. She finds a fox spirit named Tomoe, and he tells he that she is the new Land God.

They go through many adventures together, and try to find the old Land God who disappeared, and why he chose Nanami to be the new Land God. Overall, I thought that this anime is really cute, and has its charms. I would recommend that anyone would like to see this anime, because it has a little bit of everything.

Sword Art Online/Gun Gale Online

Sword Art Online
8/10
Game/Romance/Action/Adventure
25 episodes

I really liked this anime. It had good plot and development with the characters. The art style is good.
However, I brought myself to think that the main character, Kirito, was OP. (OP means overpowered.) There was only one scene where he was close to death, and I think that the tension was the best there. There is a second season to this anime, and I personally liked it better than the first one. All the theme songs are really catchy and well-made.

The story is about a boy who plays a game, and gets trapped in it, with other people playing the new game. If you die in the game, you die in real life. You have to fight and become strong to continue to live. To get out of the game completely, you have to beat it. The story is addicting, and I hope that the creators make a third season. Also, one hint. I recommend that you watch the subbed version, not the dubbed, because the dub on this anime is not very good.

Gun Gale Online
9/10
Romance/Game/Action/Adventure/Mystery
24 episodes

This is the second season of Sword Art Online, if you haven't already figured that out. I have a tendency to like second seasons better than the first ones, and it's no different here. I loved the action scenes, and I felt like the animations moved more smoothly. Also, there were more life-or-death situations.

There is a murderer in a new game, and his name is Death Note-Oh, I mean "Death Gun." (XD) You aren't supposed to be able to actually kill people, but somehow he can. I highly recommend that you watch this if you like Sword Art Online.

Clannad/Clannad After Story

Clannad
7/10
Romance/Comedy/Slice of Life/School
24 episodes

I thought that this anime was really good. It had great character development, and a cute plot. However, this anime seemed really long. I also have one thing to say about it. This is the
saddest anime I have ever watched. I didn't think it was possible, but they made a second season, and it was even sadder. This is no typical school anime. I do think it is a little overrated, but that's just me.

The story starts out with the main character, Tomoya Okazaki. He goes to school and becomes friends with a girl named Nagisa Furokawa. He tries to help her bring back the drama club. They have a lot of adventures together, and meet a lot of new friends with different backgrounds, and different situations. I recommend the dub of this anime, because the voice acting is very well done.

Clannad After Story
10/10
Romance/Comedy/Slice of Life/School
25 episodes

Just like the first season, this anime is sad. I'm not talking about the kind of sad that means you shed one tear, then you're over it. This is the kind of sad when you bawl your eyes out time and time again, and don't forget it for weeks. The after story to all of the character development and plot is more than I could ever ask for in this anime. I'm happy that the company made a second season.

Tomoya and Nagisa are now in a relationship, and Tomoya finds out that Nagisa gets sick really easily. You don't need to watch the first season to watch this one.

Hetalia Axis Powers

Hetalia Axis Powers
6/10
Parody/Comedy/Historical
52 episodes

I thought that this anime was ridiculous, and entertaining in a hilarious way. Each episode is only five minutes long, though. You won't have to stay up every night trying to finished it and move on. This anime will take, at most, two hours. This will only be the case if you have adds in every video, as well.

The dub in the anime is very good. It is rare that I say this, but I think that it has better voice acting than the subtitled version. The story starts off with showing you that every person in the anime represents a country. Thus, that is their name. The first time my friend said, "I love England!", and I say, "The country?" That is how I found out about Hetalia. This may surprise you, since most anime is fiction. Hetalia is actually very educational. They cover how Sealand became recognised as a country, WWI, WWII, and a lot of other topics. I would suggest this anime to anyone. This light-hearted anime has to bring a smile to a few people's faces.

Introduction

I will be posting anime reviews. I do not own any of the anime, and probably never will. These are my personal opinions and anyone can disagree. If you have an anime you want me to watch/review, leave a comment. I will not reference one anime or my favorite anime over and over again like some other bloggers. I have found this annoying myself, and will not subject you to the torture of finding something to watch besides my personal favorites.

Random things about me:
  • My favorite genres are romantic comedies and vampire.
  • I have seen about 50 anime series.
  • I like dogs more than cats.
  • My favorite color is turquoise or electric blue.
  • I read manga, but not as much as I watch anime.
  • My favorite anime is Kami-sama Hajimemashita, or Kami-sama Kiss.
Now that we're finished with that, I just want to say that when I post the reviews, the best might not be at the top. I organize my lists in the order that I watch the anime. I will average to about two paragraphs in the review. I try not to put spoilers in the reviews, so people who are just starting to watch anime and want recommendations instead of reviews won't be disappointed. However, I advise that you watch the first season before looking at my review for the second.

InuYasha

InuYasha
9/10
Demon/Romance/Shounen/Comedy/Magical/Supernatural/Action/Adventure
167 episodes

Though this anime is long, I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone. The dub is very good, so I suggest you watch that instead of straining your eyes by watching 167 full episodes. Unless you just like reading that much. This is also one of my favorite anime, but the art style is a little old. It looks more likea cartoon on the TV than a detailed anime. The story makes up for it, though, and the animation is well-made.

The story starts off with Kagome, a girl who comes home from school and goes to check on the sacred well in their shrine, and gets pulled in by a demon. She survives by using some kind of magic that she can't understand. When she gets out of the well, she notices that she is in some kind of Futile era in Japan. *All this happens in the first episode; none of the information is spoilers.

The town she is in starts to get attacked by the demon that attacked her in the well. She notices that there is a guy pinned to a tree with dog ears with an arrow. She sets him free, an he tries to save them, then steal a sacred jewel. He saves them, but Kagome gets to the jewel before he does. This is how she meets InuYasha.
